Photography Committee 2022-2023

PURPOSE

The Photography Committee is responsible for increasing members’ understanding, appreciation, and involvement in photographing the natural world and for photographic documentation of Club activities. It does this through:

  • Producing workshops and demonstrations for members
  • Securing speakers on photography for general membership meetings
  • Planning and supervising Club photography bench shows and sweepstakes
  • Informing members of photography contests of related organization (including GCA and NGC/FGCCT) and encouraging participation by Club members
  • Working with the Vice President to secure member participation to fulfill Photography Division requirements for any Flower Show that is part of a GCA Zone ll Annual Meeting
  • Assigning committee members to take photographs at Club events for inclusion in the newsletter and website

To participate:

  • Send your JPEG, Landscape orientation,  ‘Medium’ file size;
  • Provide the botanical and common name of some of the key plant material in your photos;
  • Rename the photos with your name and date;
  • Please email photos to: Julie Wilson

Rename Digital Photo Files on Your Computer
1. Select a photo in your photo folder. Click any thumbnail or image from the list.
2. Select the Rename This File task from the File and Folder Tasks pane.
3. Type the new name for the file in the text box. 
4. Click outside the text box (or press the Enter key) to lock in your change
