IRS Tax Exempt 501(c)3 Status

The Garden Club of New Haven’s IRS Tax Exempt 501(c)3 Status is as a subordinate of The Federated Garden Clubs of CT, Inc which we helped form in 1929.  Although we have our own EIN# 06-6058605, because we are a subordinate, The Federated’s Determination Letter and a letter explaining our status are needed when we seek tax exempt activities. An explanation and the form for applying for Certification for Vendors for waiver of the CT Sales Tax with a link to the form are also attached.
